Maize South girls capture a 5A state championship, their third championship in school history, as they edge Bishop Carroll with a one point win in the team standings.

After winning the KSHAA State Championship last Saturday, the girls cross country team holds up their trophy for the hundreds of spectators in Augusta. The girls won by one point against Bishop Carroll on the day with 58 points total.
