Boys swimming takes second at state

The boys swim team tied for second with a score of 181 in the 5-1A State championship in Topeka this weekend.

In the 200 yard medley relay, senior Ryan Kuhl, junior Ryce Olson, senior Kyle Stutzman and junior Colton Lumpkins took eighth with a time of 1:42.64.

In the 400 yard freestyle relay, Kuhl, Olson, Stutzman and Lumpkins took third with a time of 3:18.39.

Junior Christian Taylor took took sixth in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 1:59.88 and fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.43.

Kuhl took sixth in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 55.39 and ninth in the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.48.

Junior Jacob Ruder took ninth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.22 and ninth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 49.36.

Freshman Bryce Nelson took 11 in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 22.92 and 11 in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.78.

Olson took 12 in the 100 yard breastroke with a time of 1:04.33 and 12 in the 100 yard  freestyle with a time of 50.82.

Freshman Britton Beggs took 11 in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:15.15.

Logan Patterson took 16 in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:35.58.
