The boys basketball team capped off their season with a victory against Newton Friday, Feb. 26.

The team defeated the Railers 54-35 in order to wrap up the AV-CTL title this season.

The girls lost their final game of the season 50-41 to Newton.

The Lady Eagles and Railers exchanged leads throughout the game until the fourth quarter where Newton pulled away.

The boys team will have their first sub-state tournament game against Goddard at 7 p.m. on Wednesday Mar. 3 at home. The team is the third seed in the tournament.

The girls team will have their first sub-state tournament game against Liberal at 6 p.m. on Thursday Mar. 3 at home. The girls team is also the number three seed in the sub-state tournament.
