When students return from winter break on Jan. 5, they will be greeted by spirit week. Tuesday will be tacky tourist. Wednesday students can dress as their favorite movie or book character. Thursday students can wear a jersey to support their favorite teams. Friday is a flashback to any decade.

StuCo will host a dodgeball tournament on Friday in the big gym after the basketball game.

Friday will also include a pep assembly during En-Cor, a silent jersey auction at 6 pm in front of the big gym, and king and queen crowning during halftime at the basketball game.

After the basketball game the Fifth Quarter will be held. During Fifth Quarter, a carnival will be set up for anyone to attend.

“People can buy tickets and we’re going to have a cake walk, bounce house obstacle courses, bingo, photo booth, fun things to do and food,” said Staci Brown, Student Council sponsor.

The plans for winter homecoming dance have changed from  Dec. 9 to Feb. 13 due to schedules.

“It was right when we come back from winter break,” Brown said. “The kids wanted to have more of a formal dance and they wanted to have it more towards Valentine’s day, so that’s why we decided to do the Fifth Quarter instead.”
