The bowling teams will go head to head against Derby and Wichita Kapaun Mt. Carmel next Thursday.

On Jan. 23 the girls bowling team placed in the top ten at the Great Plains Invitational at Northrock Lanes. The girls came out in 8th place, out of 28 teams.

Junior Jaden Light took seventh place out of 168 bowlers for her individual score of a 545 series.

“We should’ve bowled a lot better. I got seventh, but I would’ve been way more happy with being in the top three,” Light said.

The boys bowling team received in 17th place, with no individual bowlers scoring in the top 30.

“We [all] just need to work on spare shooting, then we’ll be in a lot better shape,” Light said.

The bowling team will be back in action Feb. 5 for the Derby Triangular.
