Cross country runs toward state titles

The cross country team attended their regional meet Oct. 25th at Manhattan. Several runners qualified for the upcoming state meet.

The girls varsity team was led by seniors Deidra Walker in first and Kate Utech in second taking a team win overall. Walker ran a 14:46 and Utech ran a 15:16.

The boys varsity took fifth with senior Max Berg qualifying for state. Berg finished in fifth place with a time of 16:56.

The state meet will be held Oct. 31st at Rim Rock Farms in Lawrence. There will be a pep bus available for students wishing to attend the meet to support fellow students. The deadline for signing up is 10 a.m. Oct. 30.
