Baseball team defeats Salina Central

The baseball team defeated Salina Central 6-0 in the first game and 7-1 Tuesday.

Maize scored one run in the first ending, two in the fourth inning, and three in the fifth inning.
The second game, Maize scored three runs in the second inning, two runs in the third, and the last two in the fifth.

“We’re getting better every time we get out there, so it’s just another step forward,” senior baseball player Brady Hoover said.

The next varsity games will be at 2:30 p.m. against Olathe South and 7 p.m. against Branson Mo. on Friday at Hoglund Stadium.
