    Nine wrestlers qualify for state

    Last Saturday the wrestlers had nine to qualify for state at the regional meet. Sophomore Brett Moon was the regional champion at 152 weight class.

    “I felt pretty good about winning. I had won last year too,” Moon said.

    The squad had three seniors qualify, one junior, three sophomores, and one freshman. Seniors Casey Nance took fourth to qualify, Fernando Nuno took third, and Jacob Wilgers took second. Junior Devon Baker took third to qualify. Sophomores Alex Hydock and Cole Moses took third to qualify, while freshman Zac Grantham took fourth to qualify.

    State will be March 3 in Lawrence.
