2024 OneMaize Media Summer Camp
Dates-June 24-June 28, 2024
Time-9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location-Maize Career Academy (Broadcasting studio, classrooms facilities)
Grades-6th to 9th graders for the 2024-2025 school year
Cost-$150 per student/$275 for siblings (special family deal)
Camp limit-45 total students

During our week long, 3-hour per day workshop, students will get hands-on training, learning and experiences by:
1. Learn what makes a great photo, learn DSLR basics and how to take great sports photos and edit.
2. Edit in Adobe Bridge and Photoshop.
3. Learn basic video storytelling techniques, Adobe Premiere and how to edit a short video together.
4. Shoot video sports, academics and also get an opportunity to fly drones on the Friday of class!
5. Learn how to interview and write a feature story on a person in our class.
6. Learn about student media opportunities in our OneMaize Media program for when they become high schoolers (newsagagazine, website and television show.)
7. Use state-of-the-art equipment, technology and facility usage at the Maize Career Academy.
8. Work with national award-winning videographers and photographers along with veteran advisers Dan Loving and Ryan Tarletsky
9. Communicate, collaborate and create in a team environment similar to our student media experience through OneMaize Media.
10. Plenty of snacks, team activities and games infused throughout all five days of our camp.
11. Leave camp with new technology, equipment and student media skills that can be applied to their future classes in all kinds of subjects and fields.
12. Meet new friends, see the Maize Career Academy and get exposure to our award-winning student media here in USD 266!
Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and OneMaize Media swag bag on their first day of camp, as we seek to improve our camper experience for our 2nd annual media camp at the Maize Career Academy.
Registration closes May 30. Payment is due by Friday, June 21. Venmo payment is @Ryan-Tarletsky.

Camp schedule and activities are being added daily to our weekly schedule that should be finalized between June 3-June 7.
