The girls basketball team won their homecoming Friday cruising to a 49-24 win. Junior Keiryn Swenson led the team with 16 points.

“I thought we played really well,” head coach Jerrod Handy said. “Its always a work in progress, always got to get better.”

Their lost to Wichita South is a reason why they have improved in their game, especially on the defensive side.

“They’re a little more focused,” Handy said. “That was a good benchmark to find out where we were at.”

The team will be in action again at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Salina Central.
