The football season is not over yet. The Eagles sneak into the playoffs with the district championship and their win against Hutchinson.

The Eagles had most of the lead until the last five minutes of the game when Hutchinson scored two touchdowns to give them a 33-24 lead.

Junior quarterback Connor Lungwitz drove senior running back Chase White into the end zone, making their final score 33-31.

Hutchinson tried to stay alive with a field goal attempt that was missed. Although Maize lost, they had enough points to enter the playoffs.

They will take on Manhattan, with a 7-2 record. The playoffs will be at 7 p.m, Nov. 8 at home.
