Maize girls basketball defeated Eisenhower Friday 64-42.
Freshman Brekkyn Pierce said in order to win the game they had to hustle and push their opponent to their limits.

“During the game we were able to out hustle and work them to win the game,” Pierce said.

Senior Halie Jones said their offense was a big factor in the game.

“We shot well three point wise and free throw wise so I think those were definitely our strengths,” Jones said.

Jones said the girls will have to keep training hard in order maintain a strong season.

“Before the next game we will just need to keep hustling during practices and work on stuff we didn’t accomplish against Eisenhower,” Pierce said.

Jones said they will keep practicing hard until their next game Tuesday at home against Salina.

“We will definitely go hard Monday, we aren’t just going to take it light,” Jones said.
