Threatening comments were made by a Maize High School student, the school district said Wednesday.

The Maize Police Department and Maize USD 266 administrators investigated the threatening comments and appropriate actions have been taken, the district said in an email. It said there is no threat to the school, students or employees.

The facts of the incident will be handled through the Sedgwick County District Attorney, Maize police said in a Facebook post. The DA will review it and determine what charges, if any, are filed.

“Since the incident involves a juvenile, no further information will be released,” the police said.

The police thanked the students who told school administration about the incident.

“As always, please remember to say something if you see or hear something and report it immediately,” the police said.
