Boys basketball falls to Derby

The Eagles fell to Derby 72-63. The boys will be back in action at home on Tuesday against Campus.

Maize fell to Derby 72-63 at Derby on Friday.

At halftime, Maize was in the lead 26-25.

The two teams kept a close score on each other throughout the whole game.

By the end of third quarter, the Panthers were in the lead 43-41.

In the fourth quarter, with 4:00 minutes left in the game, the Panthers led 54-49.

“We didn’t play our best last night and only lost by 9,” junior Caleb Grill said. “We’ll be back.”

Maize plays at home Tuesday against Campus.
