The football team finished their season 9-2, which has never been done in school history.

The team advanced to sectionals and played at Bishop Carroll (10-1) on Friday, and fell 26-14.

Maize trailed Carroll for the duration of the game, as Carroll held dominance over the Eagles.

“We were picked to get last in the league and proved people wrong,” junior Caleb Grill said. “We started to click at the end of the year, and I think that our offense will be really explosive next season.”

The Eagles will be back in action in the 2018 season.
