The Maize soccer team won Regionals against the number one seed, Eisenhower, to continue their season.

Maize broke Eisenhower’s winning streak.

Senior Will Thompson made the only goal of the game, finishing the game with a 1-0 victory.

Junior Hunter Clark said that the team played well and got the job done, but that they are wanting to perform better for their first round in State against Bishop Carroll.

“We’re going to have to stop their forwards and find a way to get past their back line,” Clark said.

The Eagles will play Bishop Carroll on Monday at 6 p.m.
