Senior Nathan Jones placed first and sophomore Anna Reimer placed second at Hutch. The Eagles will race again at Regionals next Sat.

Cross country took the League title at the AVCTL Meet in Hutchinson on Saturday.

The boys and girls teams took first in all four of their races. Senior Nate Jones took first, followed by sophomore Anna Reimer in second.

“This week we’re trying to get rested and focused so that we can run our best at regionals,” Reimer said. “Our goal is to make it to state and place in the top three so that Rankins will have to wear a skirt to school.”

The Eagles will compete again this Saturday at Regionals.
