The boys defeated Southeast 6-0 and beat Haysville Campus 1-0, but lost to Northwest 1-0 in overtime.
The soccer team had three games this week. The Eagles played Southeast on Monday, Haysville Campus on Tuesday and Northwest on Thursday. Maize defeated Southeast 6-0, beat Haysville Campus 1-0 and fell to Northwest 1-0 in overtime.
The boys shut out Southeast 6-0. Senior Will Thompson scored three of the Eagles goals getting himself a hat trick.
Maize defeated Haysville Campus 1-0, junior Hunter Clark scored the only goal of the game.
Against Northwest, the game went into overtime and the Eagles fell 1-0 after Northwest scored.
“Overall we have been doing pretty good,” Thompson said. “We just need to keep practicing and getting to know each other so that we can play better as a team and work together better while we are playing.”
The Eagles will play away against Derby on Tuesday.
