Maize football defeats Salina South

The football team won their Homecoming game against Salina South 21-0 on Friday.

Senior Dalyn Johnson scored all three touchdowns throughout the night.

In the first quarter, Maize led 7-0. With 1:21 left in the half, Johnson scored the second touchdown for the Eagles, putting them up 14-0 at halftime.

“It’s always great to be apart of a shutout,” senior Garrison Norris said. “But, we still need work on perfecting the little things. We just need to keep going up from here.”

Their next game will be Friday at Arc City.
