The girls varsity golf team competed at a tournament at Sand Creek in Newton on Tuesday and at Tex Consolver in Wichita on Thursday. They placed first at the tournament on Tuesday and placed third at the tournament on Thursday. The girls played against Newton, Valley Center, Maize South, Winfield, Salina South, and Derby.

Both tournaments were 9 hole shotgun tournaments.

The team brought six players to the Tuesday tournament and seven to the Thursday tournament.

“Our weakest point was probably pitching and putting,” senior Amber Donker said. “But most of us have the in-between down really well.”

The next tournament will be next Monday at Salina.
