Spirit Week will begin Sept. 12 and continue on throughout the week. Participating in certain events will get your class Class of the Year (COTY) points.

“Participating in general with high school activities is important because there is no time in your life when you’re going to get to have these experiences and so you need to have fun and enjoy this kind of environment again,” English teacher Jana Schantz said.

Powderpuff is an annual game that gives junior and senior girls the chance to play a game of football.

“Learning all the stuff about football and actually getting to do scrimmages and play with everyone [was exciting],” junior Emily Conner said.
