Senior Allie Jurgensen broke the home record during the Newton game May 6. Jurgensen has hit 22 home runs in her high school career so far.

“We’re definitely gonna miss her,” softball coach Jenny Meirowsky said. “She’s a great part of the program we’ve had here, but she’s been a part of the team for four years, and on a personal level we’ve formed a good friendship, a good bond between the two of us, and I love her leadership skills, and her determination, and her drive to always want to succeed and do well.”
