2016 prom king nominees

The class of 2016 nominated five senior boys as Prom King candidates. Students will have the chance to vote for who they want to win out of the nominated. On prom night, votes will be counted and the winner will be announced.
Sawyer Barragan
Sawyer Barragan said it was a surprise when he found out he had been nominated for prom king.
“I didn’t really think about it too much, I mean obviously it’s a huge honor to be nominated,” Barragan said.
Barragan said he believes that he should be crowned prom king because he represents the school well with his involvement in different clubs in organizations. His perfect date involves swimming and food.
“A perfect date would be a trip to a lake, and swimming with fish. Then going to Noodles and Company and eating macaroni and cheese.” Barragan said.
If Barragan could change one thing about himself it’d be the amount of hours he’s required to sleep.
“I could get so much more done if I wasn’t required to sleep,” said Barragan.
Scott Carver
Scott Carver didn’t expect or want to be voted for prom king. Carver said if you he to choose between not having arms or having toes for teeth, Carver chose to not have arms.
His ideal date would be dinner and a movie. Carver said that his most awkward moment is all of the time.
Trent Gaddie
Trent Gaddie also did not expect to be nominated for prom king. Gaddie said if he had to choose between having no arms or toes for teeth, he would pick no arms.
“In fifth grade I pretended to not have arms for two weeks; so I guess no arms,” Gaddie said.
If Gaddie could have his dream brmance it would include singer Nick Jonas and senior Will Mercer.
Gaddie said that if he had the ability to change anything about himself it would be his pants.
“I would have the ability to pull off skinny jeans,” said Gaddie.
Josh Caudell
Josh Caudell didn’t have a clue that he was nominated to be prom king. He doesn’t want to be crowned prom king, but his girlfriend is really rooting for him.
Caudell is a cold pizza kind of guy, he also prefers a plain tux over a colorful one.
“I’d rather have love, you can always find a way to get money,” said Caudell.
Nathan Wright
Nathan Wright is another prom king nominee who wasn’t available for an interview.
