Maize defeats Dodge City, sets up rematch with Wichita Heights

The boys basketball team bounced back from an overtime loss to Wichita Heights with a strong showing against Dodge City knocking off the Red Demons 70- 62 on Thursday.

The offense heated up in the second half after struggling out of the gate. Junior Grant Bugbee led all scoring with 27 points while shooting 59 percent from the field. Maize improved to 8-1 on the season.

Wichita Heights also won setting up a rematch at 8:30 tonight in Dodge City. The roles will be reversed this time around as Heights is ranked no. 1 and Maize no. 2.
