Basketball teams featured on Varsity Kansas
The girls and boys basketball team were featured in a preseason story and videos on VarsityKansas done by Joanna Chadwick.
The boys basketball video features returning seniors Jacob Schultz, Jared Ledbetter and Drake Spence. Also featured in the video is senior transfer Troy Baker.
In the preview, the boys talk about the upcoming season and their goals for the season.
“We’ve all played together a long time, we have a lot of length, and we’ve got a lot of returning players,” Ledbetter said in the video.
The girls preview video features returning senior HaLee Roland and junior Taylor Holmes.
In the video, the girls talk about how the team will look after losing three starting seniors. The team also mentions the loss of juniors Brianna Johnson and Jacey Handy to anterior cruciate ligament tears.
“We’re going to have a different style of play. It’s going to be more guard play,” Roland said in the video.
Both teams open the season Dec. 3 at Valley Center.
