Boys basketball defeats Salina South

Maize defeated Salina South 65-49 on Friday night at Salina South.

In the first quarter, Maize led 18-12, and stayed on top leading 34-20 at the half. The Eagles remained victorious through the third quarter 51-34.

Sophomore Caleb Grill scored 21 points, senior Grant Bugbee scored 15, junior Jalen Johnson scored 11 points, sophomore Devon Koehn and senior Richard Wu scored 8.

The boys will play again on Thursday night’s substate game.
